Crowds turn out in the sun for BISHOP's CASTLE Michaelmas Fair week end

Record numbers of visitors turned out in the sunshine to join the enthusiasm of this small towns 12th annual weekend festival. Chairman, John Lucas shared everyone's opinion that this was the best weekend's entertainment in Shropshire, the whole town is filled with music, entertainment, exhibitions, stalls, shops, processions of 15 steam engines and scale models, tractors and classic cars and motorcycles and a flea market, something for all. The evening lantern procession was especially enjoyed by all the children with their various enormous home made Chinese style candle lanterns, and beating drums made sure no one missed it!  Visitors then enjoyed a peaceful continental evening in the high street with the steaming traction engines, chatting around  public houses.  What a good time everyone had!

Free parking for a penny farthing? At the wheelwrights old house.

So .. with 15 steam rollers .. why is there still a steep hill left here?

Static engines display in the field .. all running! The pumped bubble bath needed to be a bit bigger though?

Classic Motorcycles and something very popular to train the next generation of enthusiasts.
